Dover sewage hearing postponed on data demands
Dover Fire District No 1 may see the May 12 District Environmental Board hearing delayed as state officials request background data. Assistant Secretary Schuyler Jackson said the agency wants the Prudential Committee to file all population calculations used for plant planning. The $2.1 million facility would serve 15 000 overnight and 35 000 daytime people over four square miles including Mt Snow. The state also seeks no discharge into upland streams and favors alternatives like spray irrigation or recycling where streams are off limits. A Water Resources Board permit would be needed, potentially reclassifying part of the Deerfield’s North Branch from B to C grade water.
