Manchester Board To Tighten Liquor License Rules In 1968
Manchester selectmen move to establish local liquor license guidelines for on and off premises. New rules require on time payment of town taxes and a deputized police presence for night clubs, plus traffic and location controls. They seek to curb lax enforcement seen at Five Flys and track-fare concerns, while denying renewal retaliation. The board will notify local attorneys and real estate agents of the policy changes as prices rise in construction and culvert prices.
