Dispute over hospital bid for Putnam expansion reaches protest
Local contractor Wright and Morrissey Inc. Burlington, with a bid of 1,244,000, faced questions from rival bidders and hospital officials about bid inclusion. The hospital, led by Robert D. Stout, reported 1,272,650 for Morrissey the Bennington firm though Morrissey claims 1,234,737 was his true bid. The disagreement centers on the use of Senecal Electric Co. sub bid and whether it could be shared with other bidders, affecting apparent low-bid status and the integrity of the bidding process.
