Village asks for help to solve town hall parking problem
A village representative asked town selectmen for help enlarging the town and village office building lot. Trustee Joseph Carroll proposed removing trees and lawn on both sides to gain space for cars and adding diagonal parking at the rear could add 14 to 15 spaces. The board debated funding but offered labor help and kept the issue open. The town opposed sacrificing maples for spots. In Chicago Norman L Weekly, 25, Covina, Calif., was fined $25 for water skiing on the Calumet River.
