North Bennington School Meeting Sets Budget and Elections
North Bennington Vermont The annual North Bennington Graded School District meeting will be held Wednesday at 7 30 p m in the school gym The budget for operation next year totals 118 300 with state aid 50 000 other revenue 7 750 and last year unexpended balance 20 000 leaving 40 550 to be raised locally The district also lists 131 730 assessment for Mt Anthony Union School The meeting will consider authorizing a tax rate based on the grand list and includes items for athletic field funding and a grant to the United Counseling Service The report notes a sizable surplus from higher than anticipated taxes and unexpended balance The district plans to carry over 20 000 and allocate 10 000 for remodeling The Prudential Committee used additional state aid to pay off debt and notes officers and candidates are listed with Merritt Hewitt Jr and William Dailey Jr seeking posts.
