Firebug Knorr pleads guilty arson linked to dozen area fires
Thomas W. Knorr of Lima Ohio pleaded guilty in Municipal Court to first degree arson for setting a dwelling fire at 221 223 River St. He admitted involvement in at least three other blazes and is linked to eight more fires of unexplained origin in the Bennington area. Police say fires were set in rags or paper near buildings while he was intoxicated, with motive undetermined. A pre sentencing investigation was ordered and he remained jailed without bail.
