Allen Renamed Mrs Davis Becomes Rural School Head
Stewart E Allen of Eastview Drive was unanimously reelected Thursday to a second three year term on the Prudential Committee of the Greater Bennington School District. At the annual meeting officers elected included Franklin P Jones moderator Michael J Hogan Jr treasurer Julia K Nash collector of taxes and Morris Hughes auditor for three years. Mrs Harriet M Davis elected to succeed Allen as chairman and William F D Smith as clerk. Davis begins her third year of a three year term. Allen chaired the merger committee and is active in the Bennington Planetarium Association promoting a planetarium for area schools.

Planetarium project gains approval in Bennington district meeting
At a 30 voter annual meeting in Bennington, residents approved authorizing the school board to build a planetarium on the Town Farm Property, enabling eligibility for state and federal aid. Paul W.
