Anti-California: A Para Fascist State Unmasked
Book review by a New York Times critic blasts Kenneth Lamott's Torch against California. The author portrays a fake Chamber of Commerce paradise masking urban desolation, racial invisibility, rising divorce rates, and a technocratic anti democratic future under Reagan era politics. Lamott indicts social strain, youth activism, and suburban hollowness while praising some church reformers and youth energy. He warns against utopian fantasies and urban unrest escalating into violent clashes.
