Anne Terese Campbell and James Michael Keegan wed at the Church of the Immaculate Conception Hoosick Falls at noon Saturday June 6. The ceremony featured organ music and a soleist with a reception at the Paradise in Bennington. The couple will reside in Hoosick Falls. The bride is a registered nurse and graduate of St Marys Hospital School of Nursing and Marymount Manhattan College. The groom is a graduate of X Marys Academy and Hudson Valley Community College.
Announcement of the engagement between Pfc. Beverly Mattison USMC and Sgt. William R. MacGregor USMC. Mattison, daughter of William Mattison and Mrs. Betty Ostrander of Bennington, is a Mt. Anthony Union High School graduate of 1971. MacGregor is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. MacGregor of Steubenville Ohio. A September 20 wedding is planned.
The Rev Joseph Quinn C S C pastor of Sacred Heart Church Bennington was honored May 31 with a concelebrated Mass and reception marking the Silver Jubilee of his priestly ordination. Fr Quinn joined by Fr Albert Croce and Fr Frank Roche led the service. a 300 strong crowd attended a reception at the K of C Hall with stories and slides of his life from boyhood to the present.
Sharon Lee Harrington and Paul Stephen Small exchanged wedding vows at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Bennington. The ceremony featured Rev. Costin and Rev. Arnot, with music by John Riddle Jr. and Philip Elwell. The couple will reside on Main Street, Woodstock, after a Cocoa Beach trip.
Vermont historian Charles T. Morrissey, on leave from the Vermont Historical Society, edits The States and The Nation Bicentennial Histories. The 51 volume series, organized by the American Association for State and Local History and funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities, will feature interpretive essays by renowned historians, with wide latitude in approach and with illustrative material.
