Burr and Burton Seminary boasts 70 graduates in 1960s ceremony
Seventy seniors received diplomas at Burr and Burton Seminary in Manchester as 800 attendees watched. Dr Stephen Freeman urged graduates to study foreign languages and world cultures, promote international understanding, and view America from non American perspectives. The ceremony honored Headmaster E H Henry and awarded multiple prizes, with Alison Bright noted for 25 years of service and Edward Brooks receiving the E H Henry Award.

Williams College will admit women on a regular coeducational basis starting fall 1971. Trustees unanimously approved expanding enrollment to accommodate women, aided by exchanges with Vassar Smith Mt Holyoke Wheaton and Connecticut College. Harold Wyman Killed in Fog Shocking Vacation Crash
Harold Wyman 49 of Arlington died and his wife Janet was critically injured when their motorcycle was struck by a pickup in heavy fog on Route 313 near Cambridge New York. The driver Roger Meyer 35 said he did not see the motorcycle. Wyman a Navy veteran and longtime Bijur foreman left a wife two daughters a son a sister and four grandchildren. Services will be at the Dorset United Church of Christ with burial in Evergreen Arlington. Contributions may go to the Vermont Heart Fund.
