Fourth superagency in legal operation
Vermont's fourth new super agency under government reorganization is now in operation legally after the 1971 legislature created an Agency of Administration by merging tax and administration departments and elevating divisions to department status. The law took effect Tuesday with Richard Mallary expected to head the agency at a $22,000 salary, the lowest of the four secretaries.
