Taxi ordinance weighs on Bennington board action requested
A Bennington taxi owner, Paul Grover, urged selectmen to adopt a municipal taxi ordinance to curb discriminatory practices. He proposed a city per capita ratio of one car per 1,000 residents and said Brattleboro uses a similar model. Selectmen will study the proposal at next week’s meeting. A separate Peru report noted a 40 minute Lima blackout caused by a man who died by self-inflicted fall onto high tension wires.
