Aviation disaster in Japan kills 162 on passenger jet
A 22 year old Japanese student pilot in an F86 collided with an All Nippon Airways Boeing 727 on a domestic flight from Sapporo to Tokyo. The jetliner disintegrated, 162 died, including 155 Japanese on board and seven crew. An American passenger was among the dead. The F86 pilot parachuted to safety and faces arrest.
