Land transfer to St Michael's College from former Air Force site
Winooski officials announce that 124 acres with 14 buildings from the Ethan Allen Air Force Base area will be transferred to St Michael's College for educational use. Five parcels pass to HEW for college assignment including a computer center and math classrooms.

Three youths charged after shotgun attack on Negro home
Three vacationing white youths face charges in North Kingstown after a shotgun blast hit a Negro family home missing a 10-year-old girl at the kitchen table. A 20-year-old Marine from Camp Lejeune and a Cranston resident were arraigned, a 14-year-old Providence boy was released to parents. Authorities say they admitted to the blast. The Potsters, targets of racial taunts, were not home. two anti Negro signs were found nearby.
