Hoosick Falls Trustee Defends Budget Practices
Village trustee Richard Severson defended abstaining from April budget votes by presenting analyses of 1966 67 and 1967 68 figures showing 48 first year and 50 second year transfers, questioning legality of moves from Sewage Fund to General and Water Funds and a 1967 68 budget note. Mayor Albowicz acknowledged some charges were valid but defended transfers as longstanding business practice while noting emergency cash needs.
