Weekend losses drop Legion Nine to sixth place
Bennington American Legion Post 13 baseball slips from second to sixth after weekend defeats to Burlington 3-2 and Barre 8-7. Scott Racicot pitched well in the Burlington game, but two fifth inning infield errors doomed the locals. Bennington's timely hits came from B J Woodard and Greg Croft, while Don Longe earned the Barre win in relief as Barre remains tied for second behind Rutland and Burlington. The Senators also traded Camilo Pascual to Cincinnati for a price over waiver terms.
