Arctic water power idea uses sea heat to drive generators
University of Alaska engineer A Ronald McKay proposes a closed loop power cycle using Arctic sea water under the ice at 29 degrees to heat a working fluid, vaporize it at low pressure, and drive a turbine. The vapor would be condensed by Arctic air to repeat the cycle, with no fuel or pollution. He notes icing risks, possible warmer deep currents, and seasonal heating tweaks using air as source or water as cooling, plus solar input to smooth output.
