Manchester VFW Honors King Reid
Reid Lefevre longtime Bennington County legislator and carnival operator was saluted by Harned-Fowler Post No 6471 with a This Is Your Life surprise party in Manchester King Room. A mural traced Lefevre career from Manchester Fair to Loyalty Day while a carved 1923 fire engine bell, gifted by VFW and Fire Dept, highlighted the honor. Lefevre thanked the veterans and called the night his shining hour as friends toasted him with a jar of pickles.
