Saturns Moons Defy Pattern With Phoebe Oddball Exception
Astronomy notes describe Saturn’s 10 hour rotation and eastward orbit, with most moons following Saturn’s path. Phoebe, eight million miles away and about 100 miles across, breaks the pattern by orbiting west to east every 550 days and 11 hours. Jupiter’s moons are named, but only four are widely recognized.
