Post Christmas New York Saturday in 1970
A first person reflection on a crowded post holiday New York Saturday in 1970. The narrator strolls Fifth Avenue and near 57th Street, notes fashion contrasts, visits Hallmark and Dennison's, samples bagels, dines at a near-empty hotel restaurant, and observes theaters and street life. He contrasts glamorous urban life with homelessness and social tensions, commenting on cinema, Broadway shows, and the American way of life.
