Nixon to speak on trial at San Clemente estate
Former President Richard Nixon plans his first statement about the Watergate arrests of four top aides. Press secretary Ron Ziegler says the address will occur today at the Nixon estate, with no specified time. Nixon avoided the trial, was named an unindicted co conspirator, and had left the presidency after Ford granted a pardon. Justice Douglas Stricken By Stroke In Bahamas Vacation

Local agencies strained as unemployment rises in Bennington
