Vermont Catholic Women urge Lenten dessert sacrifice for Near East missions
At a Middlebury meeting the Vermont Council of Catholic Women discussed fundraising by giving up one dessert weekly during Lent to benefit the Catholic Near East Welfare Association. They also urged rubella vaccination for young children and examined senior citizens program benefits. A May 21 23 anniversary event at Marble Island Yacht Club Colchester was announced with Msgr Edward Foster as speaker. Dan Holland to represent the 4 Cs program. Bennington County meeting guest speaker will be Public Safety Commissioner Edward Corcoran.
