Burlington Fire razes cathedral in Vermont
The 140 year old Vermont Episcopal Cathedral Parish of St Paul in Burlington was destroyed by a fast moving blaze Monday afternoon. The fire leveled the cathedral on St Paul Street and nearby parish offices while the rectory was saved. About 1,600 baptized members and 1,000 communicants are affected as officials arrange temporary worship spaces and notify parishioners.
