New York winter waterfowl count up from last year
Albany reports 189 574 waterfowl counted in New York state during the mid winter survey, a 16 percent rise from 1970 but 6 percent below the long term average. The survey, conducted Jan 6 to 9, covers 3000 miles with pilots John Schempp and Ed Maunton.
