Earthquake survivor found after 58 hours in ruins

At the San Fernando Veterans Hospital a rescue team uncovered Frank Carbonara, 68, alive beneath rubble after 58 hours. The hospital chef escaped with broken bones in his hands and a bruised chest and was declared in good condition by physicians. He recalled feeling dead and not sleeping for 58 hours.

Bennington Selectmen Approve Expanded Police Budget
