Croatian nationalists seize Yugoslav consulate hostages in Goteborg
Two Croatian activists Ivan Vukcovic and Blago Mikolic surrendered half an hour after threatening to kill three hostages unless Yugoslavia freed a condemned Croatian terrorist. Vermont ski areas told the Public Service Board that Central Vermont Public Service Corp plans to raise rates by about 19 percent would nearly double some ski area bills. They warned extra charges would hit seasonal businesses hardest as inflation drives power costs higher for the three winter months.
