Inquest recessed in Vermont boat death case
UPI reports Chittenden County State's Atty Patrick Leahy recessed the inquest into the death of Marion Federico after testimony by her husband Joseph Federico and Burlington Free Press photographer Stu Perry. Federico disappeared after falling from a boat at Mallet's Bay in July 1967 during a trip to Expo 67. Leahy will review the transcript before potential further testimony.

Albany Man Held as Witness in Theatre Assault Case
Otis Larry Johnson 21 of 20 Rensselaer St Albany is held on $10,000 bail as a material witness in an assault on Allen Bigelow 17 of Colonie at the Palace Theatre on Feb 2. Bigelow said he was struck and knocked down, while companion David Hisgen 17 of Colonie was found dead from a skull fracture at Albany Medical Center.

Youthful quartet arraigned in Berkshire burglary case
Four youths were arraigned in District Court on burglary charges after allegedly stealing from the Big N discount store in Pittsfield. They pleaded not guilty and trial is set for Feb. 24. The loot included rifles, ammunition, watches, TVs and other goods.
