Nellis AFB Nevada reports an Air Force F111A disappeared during a night solo training mission. A massive air search spanned Nevada and Utah with helicopters and Luke AFB aircraft assisting. The $6 million aircraft carried two pilots, names withheld until next of kin notification. Weather was poor with broken clouds and snow showers in the mountains. The jet features terrain following radar and all weather capability.
