Foreign Summer School Dropped at Bennington College
President William C. Fels announced the international summer school or Orientation Center will not be held this year at Bennington College. The Institute of International Education and the State Department shifted focus to shorter two week programs at large universities. Bradford Smith led the program for a decade hosting about 500 students from 40 countries prior to graduation.

U S Air Force Band to Perform in Hoosick Falls April 7
The U S Air Force Band and Singing Sergeants will perform at Hoosick Falls Central School on Saturday April 7 under the school music department. Diane Smith hosted a personal gathering on Bovie Road and 20 classmates joined a surprise misc shower at St Stanislaw Hall. A purse of money and many gifts were given. January town rescue squad activity totaled 20 calls, 661 miles, 30 hours 5 minutes, with 16 emergencies and 143 miles of transfers.
