Soviet cosmonauts land after eight days in snowstorm
Two Soviet cosmonauts Pyotr Klimuk and Valentin Lebedev returned to earth near Karaganda after eight days aboard Soyuz 13 as a snowstorm and high winds hampered the landing. Tass reported the crew stayed in radio contact, landed safely, and were in good health. The mission focused on sun and star studies and testing the craft ahead of a 1975 joint flight with the United States.
