Red Hat Expected For Archbishop Cooke

Vatican sources say Pope Paul VI will appoint new cardinals early in 1969 with Terence J. Cooke of New York among them. A consistory is planned in the coming weeks, delayed by Christmas observances. The Pope also conducted a Christmas blessing before 200,000 in St Peter's Square.

AJC protests New York lottery ticket image
