Accused Kidnaper Surrenders In Des Moines Case
Davenport police report Robert Anthony Williams, a 24 year old self described preacher, surrendered after an escape from a mental patient facility. He is linked to the Christmas Eve kidnapping of 10 year old Pamela Powers of Urbandale. Authorities fear Pamela may not survive. Williams arrived by taxi from Rock Island Illinois and was escorted back to Des Moines by officers. An attorney claimed the suspect promised to reveal Pamela s fate when brought to Des Moines. The girl s orange slacks were found at a Grinnell rest stop. Williams faced a warrant for child stealing and used aliases including Rev Anthony.
