Weston Community Club Plans a Busy Winter

Weston announces a busy winter at the Community Center with a second season of Saturday night buffets and youth oriented films starting Jan 1 through April 16. Food prep by Mrs Florence Holton and Mrs Lena Mansur, hostess Mrs Grace Cram. Christmas week features a Dec 28 square dance 8 11 pm called by Ardis Stevens with refreshments. Dec 29 ham supper and 8 pm benefit theater show led by Jack Straw Sam Lloyd and Paul Sanders.

Forestry Essay Prizes Awarded To Three Manchester Students

Manchester pupils Kathleen OLeary Suzanne Kelleher and Lisa Townsend won state forestry essay prizes from 1200 entrants in the Bennington Rutland district. Judges included Rev Robert L Clayton and forester Sidney Davis. OLeary earned 10 dollars for her seventh grade work. Townsend and Kelleher won 2 and 5 dollars respectively.
