England at Christmas Brimming With Carol Singing Joy

In England the festive season bursts with carolers from city doors to village lanes starting in December and continuing to Christmas. Children and adults sing hymns, sometimes as many as six at once, charming listeners and spreading holiday cheer. The BBC airs the King's College Cambridge eve service since 1928, with "Once in Royal David's City" opening a moving procession of white robed choristers under Cambridge’s chapel roof, heard across the nation and beyond.
