Nuclear plant planned near Rutland in Vermont
Two private firms Central Vermont Public Service and Green Mountain Power say they will build a nuclear generating plant near Rutland. They have asked for bids from General Electric and Westinghouse on two potential sites. A New York firm, H. Zinder and Associates, urged Vermont to import Canadian power by 1971 and warned the state will outgrow current energy by 1975.
