A group of Green Acres residents presented a petition to Bent ington selectmen demanding enforcement of the state mobile junkyard law and a general cleanup of properties. The 18-signature protest urges action on conditions described as deplorable, disagreeable and dangerous to children, aiming to end a year-long limbo.
A top Republican fiscal expert accuses the Johnson administration of bailing on the Fed rate hike probe. Rep. Thomas B. In Montpelier the legislature will review a bill to buy the 90 year old Pavilion Hotel for use as an office building. The Central Planning Office backs the purchase with an estimated $600,000 saving versus new construction. The hotel, appraised at $136,500, would keep exterior intact while interior is remodeled.
