Salmon to unveil tax relief plan in Vermont
Governor elect Thomas Salmon will reveal a 13.4 million property tax relief program on Wednesday afternoon in Montpelier after a six hour Rutland session with aides and tax lawyers. The plan caps average Vermonters’ property levies at five percent of income and funds the 13.4 million price tag with a five million dollar tax on speculative land sales.
