Dorset tipi makes debut in unusual home display
Dorset welder Roger Rumney built a wood burning stove from a 50 gallon drum for Cork’s 18 foot tall tipi valued at 200. The stove venting is managed by a pipe with a safety screen while a raised wooden floor reduces dampness. Cork, 22, lives inside a modern Plains Indian style dwelling with a liner to direct cold air upward and keep water off the floor. He set up the structure weeks ago and started living in it two weeks ago, facing rain and snow management and a door hole navigation challenge.
