Arlington approves new student rules on age and use of school name
Arlington school board approves three policies at a high school meeting. The first would grant 18 year olds rights to direct correspondence and enrollment conditions including certificates of residence. The second, non school activities, curbs use of the school name in fund raising and requires prior approval for activities not sponsored by school groups. The third governs use of school equipment by non school groups, including return condition and possible use fees. The board may discuss free speech rights and anonymous complaints at its December 8 session.
