Bennington High Center Offers General Education Tests
Bennington High School remains a testing center for the General Educational Development GED tests. About 25 community members have passed since last year, with no writing required. The five two hour tests cover expression, social studies reading, natural science reading, literature reading, and general mathematical ability, focusing on critical thinking and understanding rather than memorized facts. Applications are available at the guidance office, and testing can be scheduled by calling 442 6372.

Vietnam war can be won says former AP exec
Former AP executive Frank Starzel told a St Peter’s Episcopal audience that military victory in Viet Nam is feasible but only a small part of the task. Rebuilding will take four times longer than winning, with civil action teams needed to promote sanitation schools and modern farming. He warned of peasant distrust toward Saigon and the long, hard process ahead.
