Seek money for municipal building in Wood Memorial Park
HOOSICK FALLS N Y village officials seek federal public works funds to construct a two story municipal building in Wood Memorial Park. Trustee Francis Murphy heads the Building Committee and says a formal cost figure will come after the architect meeting within a week or ten days. The plan includes offices for village police courts mayor treasurer clerks and assessors and jail facilities to avoid county jail trips. The two story hill built design uses ground level entry from the park side. The old municipal building burned down over three years ago. plans expect completion within a year after groundbreaking. Applications for funds depend on Congress passing an appropriations bill.
