Police may have erred when 75 plants were removed from a hedge in front of Rutland High School last week. Authorities had identified the hedge as marijuana and the Public Works Department destroyed it before Dr. William Feaster of Castleton State College disputed the claim, saying the plants belong to a harmless family including dandelions and sunflowers.

Mercury Found In Moonshine Contaminates Whiskey
In Nashville, federal agents report mercury contamination in 24 to 40 moonshine samples. Mercury levels reached up to two parts per million, higher than the FDA safe limit of 0.5.
