Practical Nursing Notes on Advisory Council and Curriculum

A very small school aims to prepare graduates for the State Board licensure exam through breadth in curriculum and clinical practice. The Putnam Memorial Hospital School of Practical Nursing relies on its seven permanent and seven non permanent advisory council members to align with community and national needs, guiding the school, hospital corporators, and Vermont education divisions. Dr. Francis P. Carrigan chairs the council and Dean Hanson serves as vice chair, with several professionals from nursing, law, education, and religion among the non permanent members. The school director belongs to the National Association for Practical Nursing and Education, Inc, the national accrediting body.
