Waltz Festival Planned in Vienna to Reignite Dance
Vienna plans a Waltz Festival within a few years to revive the city’s dancing heritage. The project, proposed by Mrs. Gertrude Sandner, aims to showcase the Vienna waltz history through concerts rather than competition, linking its origins to Lanner and Strauss and hoping to renew local interest before old Vienna runs out of waltzes.
