Snelling Calls for Higher Vermont Education Aid
Rutland Republican Richard Snelling argues state education aid lags behind rising school costs in Vermont. He cites a $2.5 million increase last session versus over $4 million in expenses, urging at least $5 million more annually and a 40 percent state share for school construction funded by 10 percent of annual debt service. He plans to push this as a top priority if elected governor.
