Weekend at Marlboro features Brahms, Dvorak, Ravel and Busch
Marlboro Music Festival enters its 27th season with August 5 6 7 concerts at 830 p m and 3 p m. program includes Bartok String Quartet No 6 Brahms Clarinet Quintet Dvorak String Quintet Op 97 Moravian Duets Mendelssohn Octet and Ravel Piano Trio in A minor Busch Preludes and Fugues. Summer Sonatina ends tonight on the van der Linde lawn
The sixth and final piano concert of Summer Sonatina begins at 7 30 pm on the van der Linde lawn at 5 Catamount Lane with students ages 7 to 20. Anamarie Sarazin of the Boston Ballet appears at 8 pm in Mt Anthony Auditorium and Susan Sourcliffe with Polly van der Linde accompany. Performances feature works by Haydn Bach Turina Shostakovich Kabalevsky Ginastera Persichetti Schubert Beethoven and Mendelssohn. Bring lawn chairs and enjoy refreshments after the concert.

Milton Game Refuge rules proposed for Milton Vermont
The Vermont Agency of Environmental Conservation proposes renewing a rule prohibiting hunting trespassing or trapping on the state owned Milton Game Refuge with land access by permission. The refuge, acquired 1920 to 1963, has been closed to hunting and trapping in five year cycles and is posted as Game Management Area.
