Shaftsbury hearing weighs mobile home park plan
About 30 residents attended a Shaftsbury Zoning Board of Adjustment session on a proposed change to allow a 150 unit mobile home park on Airport Road and a 50 unit trailer park on the opposite side. Officials explained that once amended, zoning remains commercial, and an absentee vote rule, plus a potential all day vote, were discussed. Park manager Jim Glazebrook projected the town could gain about 37159 in taxes from the park, based on an 8000 per trailer value, with depreciation for mobile home personal property.

Peter Schoffstall assesses the Williamstown Theatre production of Mother Courage, praising Angela Wood as the lead and the strong ensemble while probing Brechtian elements and wartime themes. The piece questions why audiences seek war on stage and notes the cast, direction by Ted Cornell, and design by Conklin Loquasto and Meeker.
