Arrested Tapers Go to School in California
In El Cerrito California a driver charged with alcohol related offenses is usually sentenced to four weeks in a School for Alcoholism Prevention. Municipal judges enroll defendants in four classes as a probation condition. The program avoids labeling offenders as alcoholics and targets those likely to benefit. Most defendants are first time or low offense drink drivers.
