BRASU budget passes amid salary dispute and retainer vote

The Bennington Rutland Supervisory Union approved a 96254 dollar budget after a dispute over administrator salaries and a travel allowance. Ed Houlihan and Sister Rita Marie Emerson faced cuts while William A. Sheldon's travel was raised, a move opposed by Pawlet and Sunderland. The plan keeps total spending up from this year and authorizes 8040 hours of legal firm time with Evans O'Neil and Wolfe, funded by district contributions and later hourly rates.
