State official questions eligibility amid Vermont New Hampshire lockout
Henry A. Milne of the Department of Employment Security said unemployment benefits would probably not be paid if workers are involved in a labor dispute that caused the stoppage. The issue arises from the Vermont New Hampshire Teamsters strike and carrier lockouts affecting 48 trucking firms. A 1954 DES decision denied benefits when a lockout occurred but the dispute was legal rather than about eligibility.
